Ronald Gipson began boxing at a youthful age of 12 years old under the guidance of Mr. Jim Ortiz in Mountain ViewCalifornia for the local P.A.L. (Police Activates League). Mr. Ortiz taught the style of Sugar Ray Robinson, a fighter whom he greatly admired. As an amateur Ron compiled a record of 56 wins and 6 loses. From 1985 to 1989 he worked as an assistant coach under Mr. Jim Ortiz in Mt. ViewCalifornia. In 1994 he moved to ModestoCalifornia and out of pure love for the sport, he began teaching local kids in the neighborhood the art of boxing, not only for sport, but for fitness and self defense.  In 2000 Ron started volunteering as an assistant coach under Mr. Lou Jordan at Modesto P.A.L.  There he coached and developed many kids who competed with much success, some of whom still compete today.  In late 2003 he formed Top Dawg Boxing Team with partner Leo Fountila.  Over the following year they competed throughout California from San Francisco to Bakersfield. In 2005 he formed Team Xecution Boxing Club in TurlockCalifornia at Academy Kickboxing while developing the boxing program at Dynamic Karate in ModestoCalifornia.  He has trained and mentored many students including former K-1 Kickboxing champion Carter Williams and former boxing champion David Vedder.  Ron continues coaching up and coming armature boxers and mixed martial arts fighters. In late 2007 Ron expanded his ever growing boxing club to UltimateAthleteFitnessCenter in ModestoCalifornia where he currently trains and coaches.  Ron’s classes are focused on high energy cardio workouts geared towards maximizing a complete body workout. The atmosphere is energetic and always family orientated with no attitudes or egos.

“The art of boxing has blessed me over my life time.  As a child I needed to curve and channel my efforts into something positive.  Boxing is a sport of discipline, strength and heart.  The dedication required builds character." – Ron Gipson
